I Samuel 15:22 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to hearken than the fat of rams.

How often do we boast about our worship when we have not obeyed the Great Commission? God met with us! We had a good service!

What about obedience? The question is not the sacrifice but the obedience. How can we truly worship if we are not performing the Great Commission.

God is not as interested in our worship as He is in our obedience. The church needs to worry about obeying the voice of the Lord. It is not a question of how much we give or how well we sing but how well we obey Him.

“Go”, “ye shall be my witnesses”, “so send I you”, “go and teach” are all commands. How much does He desire our obedience compared to our burnt offerings and sacrifice.

It is easy to worship. It is harder to obey. Thanks for the reminder
