Psalm 55:21 The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: His words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.
This is a prophecy, I suppose, about the AntiChrist. He will talk like people want to hear but it will not be from his heart. He will say kind things. He will show interest. He will seem to be very loving but the whole time his heart will be far from what it seems.
There are people that you will have the privilege of pastoring and discipling. They will talk the talk but it will not be in their heart. They will come for what they can get and when they don’t they will strike out hard and their warlike heart will show itself.
It is easy to fall for the guy who uses words that are smoother than butter and softer than oil. It is easy for people to act the part of loving Jesus and wanting to serve Him. But they may just be playing a game.
They really want war! They really want to hurt. They really are just manipulating and using you! Be careful!
