Romans 3:2 Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.
The Jews were more blessed than anyone in history. They were given the very words of God. God used them to write the Bible, to preserve the Bible, to preach the Bible, to live the Bible.
It was their responsibility to make known the greatness and wonder of our God.
Now Paul is telling them that being a Jew isn’t really helping them but rather adding more responsibility. It is causing them to be judged with an even stricter judgment.
Consider this. If you are born again and reading this post then you have been saved and the ministry of reconciliation has been committed to you and your church. That is a great privilege. It is also a great responsibility!
We must not take lightly that God has chosen to use us. We must not take lightly that God has committed the most precious gospel to us and our church. This calls for us to rise and do something with all that He has given us.
What are you doing to share the gospel? What are you doing with the ministry of reconciliation?
