Exodus 34:12 Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee:
God has given His people the truth. He has worked miracles among them. He has proven Himself very strong. He now warns His people to stay away from strong friendships with those that worship other gods. Strong friendships will teach us to be tolerant and politically correct. We will be unwilling to stand on the fact that there is only one God and only one way to Him!
We want to reach people and we will befriend them but we must be careful to love people but never to love or accept or even be tolerant of sin or false gods. We love God. We stand for truth and we will not for anything change on that!
Tomorrow’s reading Exodus 35
Teach them the difference
Ezekiel 44:23 And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.
God wanted His people Israel to know the difference between clean and unclean, holy and unholy. He wanted His people to be taught to discern. Pastors fail today to teach these truths. They may tell there people what they discern but fail greatly and telling the people how to discern.
We need to teach our people discernment. They need to know how to feed themselves spiritually. They need to know how to make spiritual, God pleasing decisions. There is lots of pressure on men of God to teach correctly.
The only tool any of us have to discern correctly is the Word of God and the Spirit of God using His Word to tell us what to do! Teach the Book! Make your people a people of the Book as much as you can.
