Luke 8:39-40 Return to thine own house, and shew how great things God hath done unto thee. And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him. And it came to pass, that, when Jesus was returned, the people gladly received him: for they were all waiting for him.

This man was demon possessed. Jesus saves him and he wants to travel with Jesus but is told to return to his home.

Jesus is kicked out of town. The people want nothing to do with Him. He has interfered with their livelihood and they want Him out.

This man goes home. He cannot quit talking about Jesus and what He has done in his life. He lived and he talked it.

By the time Jesus returns to the area the people are hungry to see Him, hear from Him, etc.

I wonder, do we talk about how great Jesus is and what He has done in our lives? I wonder if people are more open to the gospel because they know us. I wonder if we make people thirsty to know God.

If not, shouldn’t we start today?

Tomorrow’s reading Luke 9
