Today’s reading Hebrews 1-6
Hebrews 6:9 But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.
The writer of Hebrews warns with deadly warnings yet he is persuaded of better things! He is persuaded that they have the things that accompany salvation!
The previous text is often misinterpreted, I think, because people never read this verse. The writer wasn’t saying that they had lost their salvation because he was persuaded of better things and things that accompany salvation.
He believed that God had done a work of grace in their lives so was giving them a hypothetical that proves the security of their salvation!
