1. Going with the mentality of a pastor instead of a missionary, world evangelist.
  2. Doing things that cannot be reproduced by the men we train.
  3. Not training and trusting nationals to do the work
  4. Never developing a strategic plan to reach the city and country.
  5. Turning our work over to a missionary instead of a national
  6. Developing a defeatist attitude that it will not work here
  7. Not understanding be, do, serve, train
  8. Not using Men, Media, and Materials
  9. Making no plan to leave-exit strategy
  10. Not understanding that people will never rise above what you expect of them
  11. Not realizing that you are a coach and not the player
  12. Not having a countdown clock till the game is over
  13. Counting down the days until you leave
  14. Not expecting as much from them as you would an American church
  15. Not understanding that you get what you look for and what you honor

    With just a few changes, this looks like a good list for Pastors in the States, as well.

    It’s so easy to lose sight of these things once you are on the field! Thanks for helping us stretch our faith and goals to reach our country and the world in our generation.
