Today our youngest son, David, turned 25 years old. He has been a great blessing to his parents, family, and many others.
David we love you and want to tell you today that we are very proud of you! We love your family. We love you. We are so happy to see what God is doing in and through you.
David is married to Katie and they have a daughter named Chloe. They are a wonderful family.
David was basically raised in Latin America. When he was just over one year old we moved to Queretaro, Mexico to study Spanish as a family. The Romero family became our friends and mentors. Here they have dressed all my kids in a soccer team jersey. David had new adopted grandparents in Mexico.
David has always been a bundle of energy. Running, playing, causing laughter since the day he was born, it seems. This is a picture from Cartersville just before we left for Mexico. I figured he would enjoy having the world see him in his diapers.
In this picture David has on his cowboy hat in the airport in Mexico City. My parents had come for a visit and we were taking them back to the airport. David was just over one arriving in Mexico and then just over two arriving in Lima, Peru. He lived 18 of his first 19 years in Peru and Mexico. Then he and his family returned to Peru as missionaries. Spanish is more his first language than English.
David, I just wanted to take this opportunity to tell you that we love you very much. Your mother and I wish you a very happy birthday. You have been a great blessing to us since the Lord gave you to us. We are very proud of you. God gave you a wonderful gift set. You make a difference where ever you go.
I want you to know that you have been a blessing to me since the day you were born. I am very honored that God allowed me to be your dad. I love you and your entire family. I am honored to tell people about my youngest son. God blessed your mother and me with a super wonderful family from the first to the last.
Happy Birthday. Know that we love you more than you will ever understand. We are very proud of you! Have a great day.
