Exodus 11:7 But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the LORD doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.
God has marked His people. He knows who are His. He has put a distinction or difference between us. The Egyptians in this story will suffer from His wrath. He will protect His people.
You can’t be on both sides. You are either on His side or against Him. You are either saved or you are not! You are either on your way to Heaven or Hell but it can’t be both. I challenge you today to be sure of your salvation and then to glory in His love for you!
Tomorrow’s reading Exodus 12
Jeremiah 17:7-8 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. 8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
Trusting God brings all sorts of rewards to the believer. We hope in Him not in the economy and not in what men can do for us! As we trust we will see that God meets our needs. Even in the hard and hot times He will keep us fruitful. When there are droughts we will not have to worry. We will continue to bear fruit.
This means a radical change to our way of thinking. Fruitfulness is not speaking of money or comforts but of spiritual security and our walk with Him. He will meet our needs not necessarily our wants. We will not be in competition with other men or trying to keep up with them. We will be rejoicing in our relationship to the God of Heaven.
Trust God right now. Trust Him in what is going on around you. Believe that He will take care of you. Hope or wait on Him expecting His blessings.
