Hebrews 3:13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
It is the natural process of things to slowly grow cold and draw away. Sin deceives us that way. It doesn’t lead us to do something wildly sinful. Sin just wants us to slowly let the fire go out! We need each other and one of the reasons we so need each other is mutual exhortation and encouragement. As the people I live, work, and worship with talk about their love for Jesus I will be motivated to do the same.
I do not want sin to slowly cool my heart, my love, my intensity that I feel for the Lord Jesus. Iron sharpens iron. Get around other believers that are excited about serving Jesus.

Be Careful whose advice you follow!
II Chronicles 10:8 But he forsook the counsel which the old men gave him, and took counsel with the young men that were brought up with him, that stood before him.
Rehoboam asks advice from the old men, who give him good advice and from the young men, who give him foolish advice. The young men give him advice that plays to his pride. They are enjoying playing the man game and will cause the ruin of the country. It will be divided shortly.
Who do you get advice from? If you are not careful you will be getting advice from foolish people. People that have no concept of what God might say in His Word. I challenge you today to get into the Word of God and around the people of God. Seek godly counsel.
don’t let the foolish young ones destroy your work!
