Hebrews 1:10-12 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: 11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; 12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

The Lord made the earth. The earth is not permanent and was never meant to be. It will serve its purpose and then get old and wear out. He will fold up the earth and do with it as He chooses. He however never changes. He will always be who He said He is. He can be trusted.

Giving your life to something material is to give it to something that will wear out, lose its value, and get old. To give yourself to Him is to give yourself to the eternal, non changing and always valuable.

Tomorrow’s reading Hebrews 2

What have you determined to do?

II Chronicles 2:1 And Solomon determined to build an house for the name of the LORD, and an house for his kingdom.

Solomon was greatly blessed by God with wisdom and with wealth. I love to see what he determined to do with all that God had given him. He would build a house for the name of the Lord.

What will you do? What has caught your attention? What is worth giving your life to? What have you determined to do?
