Acts 20:3 And there abode three months. And when the Jews laid wait for him, as he was about to sail into Syria, he purposed to return through Macedonia.
Paul finds out that there is a plot against his life and ministry. He was going to sail into Syria. I suppose that his plans were known enough that they could find him there. He decided to, instead, go through Macedonia.
I find it interesting and instructive to see what Paul did when he was in danger. We know that he was not afraid of persecution. He simply did not put himself in harm’s way unless it was necessary. Here he finds out about danger and changes his travel plans.
He will not stop preaching. He will continue doing the ministry but he will change his plans to continue doing what God has called him to do.
