I Kings 22:8 And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may inquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but evil. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.
The wicked king hated Micaiah because he always said bad things about him. He never told the king what he wanted to hear. The king had paid preachers who gave him precisely what he wanted. God was always on his side. His prayers were always pleasing etc. Now here comes the man of God that honestly speaks for God. He is negative. The king hates him.
Do you hate the truth because you know it is right and you are wrong? Do you hate those that teach and preach the truth because they disturb the way you are living, thinking, and acting?
Shouldn’t you want to hear the truth no matter how much it rocks your world? Look to the Word of God. Get truth not what you want to hear.
