Empty but for God

Genesis 31:42 Except the God of my father, the God of Abraham, and the fear of Isaac, had been with me, surely thou hadst sent me away now empty. God hath seen mine affliction and the labour of my hands, and rebuked thee yesternight.

Jacob realized that it was God that provided for him. He knew that Laban would have taken advantage of him and sent him away empty had it not been for God and His goodness to him.

Do you realize that God is the one that is providing for you? Do you acknowledge that it is God that makes the difference in your life?

Tomorrow’s reading Genesis 32

Do you get wiser and increase in learning?

Proverbs 9:9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.

The wise man made a statement under direction of the Holy Spirit. He said that the wise get wiser and the just increase in learning. It is time for you to question yourself to see if that verse in any way refers to you. How to you handle instruction?

I am learning that you can’t really change people. Lazy people stay lazy. Excuse makers always make them. You can’t motive the unmotivated.

Someone told me a long time ago that you can put a shine on a mess but it is still a mess-just a shiny one!

Consider and ask yourself how you deal with instruction!
